Create art out of trash
A pile of garbage can easily become an art masterpiece with a little bit of creativity. You can, for instance, make wind chimes from used cans or solder bits and pieces of scrap metal into some sort of figure. The possibilities are endless, and here are some examples to inspire you.
Organise cords using toilet paper rolls
Ran out of toilet paper? Well, you will surely need to buy a new one, but don’t you dare discard that roll yet. Toilet paper rolls make for an excellent way to organise your cables; just fold the cable neatly, stick it into the roll, and you’re good to go.
Use plastic grocery bags as pillow stuffing
If you have been saving grocery bags and have an empty pillow case, now is the best time to fashion yourself a new pillow. Another easy recycling project in this list, all you need to do is simply stuff all that plastic into the casing and zip it shut.
Turn discarded plastic bottles into planters
Plastic bottles are durable and make excellent planters, and creating one is a fairly simple process. You start by removing the label and cutting the bottle in half. You may then place a piece of fabric at the bottom of your cut bottle, and fill it with soil until about an inch below the rim. Plant in it your seed of choice and voila! You have just completed your home garden starter kit.
Make a scooper from empty jugs
Ever seen one of those milk or detergent jugs with a handle on one side? Well, you can make an all-purpose scooper out of it. All you need to do is make a diagonal cut an inch or two below the handle and you got yourself a tool that you can use to scoop various particulars with.
Organise your supplies with used tin cans
This is fairly straightforward, as all you need to do is wash the can, pat it dry, and use it to store supplies like pencils, crayons, and pens, to name a few.
